April It will be slugger versus scientist In tomorrow's 36-hole golf duel between Babe Didrikson Zaharias and Betty Jameson. The Babe, former Texan who now makes her home here,, hits the little white pellet the proverbial mile, aver aging 270 yards off the tee. Betty, the two-time national champion from San Antonio, runs more to accuracy than distance, making up for lack of length with her deadly approaches and puttsv " However, Mrs. Zaharias' short game, while not as precise v as Betty's, is considerably abnormal. The Babe has toured certain lo cal courses in 64 and 65, and this isn't done without sharp greens- work. . ; ; That's why local golf addicts can see only a slight gleam of hope for Betty in tomorrow's match, the first of two the girls are slated to play for the benefit of the war veterans rehabilitation fund of the Professional Golfers association. Since then the Babe has become increasingly se rious about, golf.
