Ida May Coon, 63, sister of Roy
Coon of Salem, who died Thurs
day in a Portland hospital. Born

5, 1882, she had been a resident
of Forest Grove since 1912. In

ther here she is survived by sev
eral brothers and sisters and by

twice as many beds as any person is efficiently able to. handle. - i ' j
The country is doing everything in its power to recruit more nurses, j

usefulness of every single irmy nurse on duty in the United States. This

More than 8,000 Vacs are needed immediately in Army General Hospitala in
' the United States to help Army doctors and nurses in their tremendous task.
Previous experience is not necessary Any woman aged 20 to 49 inclusive
tvith two years of high school (or the equivalent schooling) may apply.
If you meet enlistment requirements,! you will he given basic training
before being sent to a recognized Army Medical Technician School. After
'.,aixf weeks. of technical training, you will be assigned to an Army hospital,
vhcre you will have four weeks of additional on-the-job-training.
