One pie brought $32, and another sold for $20. Fifteen pies Were sold. The only wajjr that school boys were able to (buy pies 'were for the auctioneer to keep the older folk out of the bidding. Besides this $30,858.38 were turned back into the community in the form of salaries, and wages. Hops were added to the ware house's list of commodities han dled for the first time in 1944. Ten cars of hops were shipped.
