moted to sergeant.' He is a tail
gunner in a B-26 Marauder medi
om bomber group operating from
France. '.
SergeanJ Lazott! is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Lazott of
Banks.
Floyd O. Bradley, runner's mate
3c, recently spent a portion of a
15-day ! furlough; in Salem with
Mrs. Mary Lynch and family, with
whom he formerly made his home,
and the Thomas Murhammers at
Keizer. He has spent the past 22 J
months in the Pacific. Before he
reports again for duly he expects
to visit briefly with brothers and
sisters in Corvallis, Toledo, Port
land and Coos Bay.

On Furlough
Home on furlough after many
months in the Pacific are two Sa
lem marines. They are SSgt Paul
D. Bar ham, 23, whose wife lives
on route seven, and SgL George
H. Wilkinson, 25, of 1948 D street.
Bar ham last served with the
fifth juTiDhibious corps. He was in
the Tarawa campaign. The son of
Jesse A. Barham, 1433 State street,
he enlisted in July, 1942. ,'
A member of the second marine
division, Wilkinson last saw ac
tion" in the Saipan-Tinian cam
paign. A graduate of Salem sen
ior high school, he enlisted in
