Mt. Angel Gets
Full Capacity
For Donors Unit
MT. ANGEL, Jan. .5 Once
more the Red Cross mobile, blood
donor unit collected its full quota
in Mt. l Angel. This time Mt. An
gel was, asked to furnish a capa
city of 200 pints or 40 more than
on previous visits; but with , sub
stantial help from Silverton, lon-"
itor and Marquam and some from
Woodburn the quota was, not only
metibut; about 20 volunteers had
to beturned away. - : ;-.

and wish to thank everyone who

Mrs. Sam Klein of Mt. Angel
gave her ninth pint and most of
the local donors were credited
with the fifth pint, as this is the
fifth trip of- the unit to Mt. AngeL
Mt. Angel College and . Semi
nary donated the use of the cots
needed and the Farmers Union
warehouse and the Schwab Com
mission company furnished the
trucks for transportation.

representatives of all organiza
tions in the city for 7:30 Tuesday
night at the chamber of commerce
in the interest! of the chest x-ray
survey unit which will bo in Sa
lem the early f part of - February.
Miss Mary Jane Green of the
Oregon state tuberculosis , associ
ation, will present plans for the
sponsoring committee for the unit
This mobile unit, to be used over
the state, includes an x-ray,
dressing rooms and dark" room for
developing films. It has been pur
chased from Christmas seal funds
and will function free of charge.
