ers is 18 years old. Seventeen
year old gridiron candidates have

tom of the barrel when Leo Ver-

opens lor antelopes on September 24 and will extend through October
7. Plenty of antelope tags are still available for sale; at the Portland
office of the game commission, the fee being $2.50 for residents and
S3 for nonresidents. In making ap
plication for a tag, a person should
forward the correct, fee and In
formation as to the number and
kind of hunting license held.
All of the antelope range Is open
to hunting with certain exceptions.
The Drakes Flat area and the Mil
lican - Fort Rock Wagon tire area
art closed. Descriptions and maps
of these areas are included, in the
1944 synopsis of hunting regula
tions. The Hart Mountain antelope
refuge also remains closed to an
telope hunting. i.v
Upon request of naval authori
ties, the game commission has
stopped all hunting until further
notice in naval aerial gunnery
area No. 2 in Lake and Harney
counties. The approximate boun
daries of this area are as follows
The north boundary lies just south
of - the Flook ranch and : of the
town of Blitzen; the east boundary
follows along the foothills of the
S teens mountains; the south boun
dary is the Oregon-Nevada state
line; and the west boundary is
just east of Guano lake and the
Hart Mountain "antelope refuge.
