two Salem USO centers. Meet

have received word of the mar
riage on Christmas eve of their
son, Mr. Jerald Gordon ' Mulkey
and Miss Gwenyth Ralfe, of
Rockhampton, Queensland, Aus
tralia. The groom, who was a
member of ! the Salem unit .of
the Oregon National Guard, left
for overseas with the 41st divi
sion and has been in Australia the ;
greater part of two years. He
saw active combat in the Sala
maua. New Guinea, campaign

an old English family, her pa
ternal grandfather being the late

couple plan to come to America
