Rainbow for Girls, when it met
on Tuesday night at Masonic
temple. Mrs.' Ernest Peterson,

Star and Jean Rowland, " grand
drill leader of the Rainbow Girls
were introduced.
' During the business meeting,
June Davis, - Elaine - Townsend
and Pat Grady were elected to

The program included several
speeches and musical numbers.

gave the after dinner speeches
which! they presented in the re
cent high school contests in Eu
gene and Adyse ..Lane ;. gave a
monologue with which she en
tered the contests at Willamette

Afterwards, the girls and their
guests went to another floor, for
refreshments.

"The Robe" by Lloyd Douglas.

who has a leave for the week
end from his station with the
navy at Farragut, Idaho. ' Mrs
Adolph plans to remain in Spo
kane while Lt. Adolph is sta
tioned with the army there.
Their daughter, Joan, will re
main in Salem until the end of
