- Mrs. Morton Tompkins returned
home Friday after a nine-days'
visit with her son, Russei Tomp
kins, who is in the navy at San
Francisco. Calif. She was accom
panied by her daughter, Mrs.
Verne Rierson, and son, Karl, of
Astoria. Her son recently had been
transferred from Pensacola, Fla.
Part of the time was spent at
Oakland. Mrs. Russei Tompkins of
Albany also visited him at the
same time.
Mrs. Tompkins visited briefly
with Mrs. Clarence Badger at
Palo Alto, Calif, and Mrs. Rier-
son and son visited an aunt of
her husband at Sacramento and
joined her mother on the train for
the return trip.
