were feted; by the campus sororities with events throughout the ';

Alpha Phi Alpha entertained with a buffet supper Friday, night aVi
the chapter house, with the pledge class in charge, of arrangements.
Fall flowers and bright leaves were the keynote for decorations with y
luscious horns of plenty arranged on. the sideboards in the dining room.'

Alumnae of Beta Chi sorority planned their reunion for breakfast
Sunday morning, to be followed by the annual alumnae business
meeting. Mrs. Kenneth Manning made contacts with alumnae, who in
clude Mrs. Wayne Doughton, Mrs. Ralph Barnes, Mrs. Dan Schreiber,
jMrs. Merrill Ohling, Mrs. Manning, and the Misses Charlotte Kallander,
'Doris Laney, Margaret Siegmund, Dorothy Baldwin. Loretta Fisher, Wilrha
, S pence, Eleanor Trindle and Barbara Hollingworth.
Miss Lucille Mclntyre and Miss Susanna Schramm were in general

y Miss Gilstrap is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs; E.' J. Gilstrap
of Turner. FoT-the past year she has held the position of field
secretary for Turner Memorial Home, and this fall, entered

Mr. Downing, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Downing of Han-
- ford, Calif., formerly of Turner, was graduated fro.n California
Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo last June, and is now sta
tioned with the. naval reserve in San Francisco. '
