Drain, chop coarsely,, salt light ly. Place in a shallow serving dish or casserole, keep not. Fut the mayonnaise, salt and pepper in top of double boiler. Gradual ly add the cup water, stirring after each addition until smooth. Cook over' boiling water about five minutes, stirring constantly ; Arrange" eggs on spinach, ".cover with sauee, Sprinkle wth bacon. o . Pour into pie pan, lined with crust Add but ter to apples and cover with more crust. Bake 20 minutes in moderate oven. Draw the pie to the edge of the oven and lightly brush the top crust with cream and brown sugar mixed. Return to oven and bake 30 minutes in moderate oven. Serve warm or cold. Mrs. Knopf has also sent a portion of her husband's notes, as well as 86 clay tablets from his archaeological collection. Mrs. Knopf- plans to leave for Los Angeles soon to make her home. The Ninety and Nine Boys camp of Oregon has just complet ed a successful week of study classes and recreation at Turner with " Governor Charles Sprague addressing them on the subject. "Missing the Mark." Over 200 boys were enrolled at the camp this year. Two more Ninety and Nine Men's camps for boys are scheduled for this month in Oregon, one in southern Ore gon at Fir Point on August tol6, and the other in eastern Oregon at Anthony lake, August 20 to 26.
