Fullenwider of Carlton, Oregon, became the bride of Mr. Edward Konantz, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Kon antz of Aberdeen, South Dakota, at an impressive ceremony held in St. Joseph's church with Father T. J. Bernards officiating. Miss Audrey Jackson of Van couyer, Washl, was the bride's only attendant and Mr. George LaVatta of Salem erved as best man for Mr. Konantz. Mr. Don ald Sommeri, nephew of the groom, lighted the tapers pre ceding the ceremony and also served as usher. The bride wore an attractive blue costume suit with navy ac cessories and corsage of gar denias and rosebuds. Miss Jack son wore a blue tailored suit with white accessories and a corsage of rosebuds. The ceremony was scheduled for 3 o'clock and when the bridal party arrived at the church at ten minutes to three the lights were off due to the lightning storm and the organ wouldn't play and the bride's flowers hadn't arrived . . . but at two minutes to three the flowers came and one minute before the organ started . . . Just as the bridal couple step ped out of the door of the cha pel, after walking up the aisle, the organ stopped and the lights went out . . . the wedding real ly couldn't have been timed better . . . and then during the service three multi-motored bombing planes went over but Charles writes that he didn't hear them as his knees were playing the Star Spangled Ban ner .. . Erickson, and Mr. Robert Boaz, son of Mrs. Ann Boaz, on Saturday, June 20. The wedding took place at 9 o'clock in the morning and Father Robert Neugebauer offi ciated at the double ring cere mony. Mr. Wayne Meussey was the organist and sang "Ave Maria." The altar was decorated with bouquets of pastel summer flow ers and candles. Mr. Erickson gave his daugh ter in marriage and for her wed ding she wore a white satin gown designed with a gathered skirt which terminated in a court train. The shirred bodice was enhanced with tiny satin bows and a sweetheart neckline. The long sleeves were gathered at the shoulders. Her train length tulle veil was edged in lace and. was caught to her hair with a seed pearl tiara. She carried a white prayer book topped with gardenias and a shpwer of white satin ribbon and bouvardia. Her only orna ment was a gold necklace with garnet and pearl center, a gift of the groom.
