The experts said it was quite poesibte to retread or recap 30,000,000 automobile tires an nually with reclaimed scrap rubber of which there is between 2,000,000 and 3,000,000 tons scattered over the U. S. Only about two ounces of crude rubber would be necessary to retread each tire, they said, and facilities now exist to start the retreads railing tnto consumers' hands.
