The bride wore a white taf
feta dress with short puffed
sleeves and long torso bodice
onto which was gathered a full
skirt. Her fingertip length tulle
veil was caught with orange
blossoms and she carried a bou
quet of gardenias, bouvardia and
pink roses.
Mrs. Guido Batliner, the
bride's attendant, wore an ashes
of roses taffeta gown with fitted
bodice, square neckline, short
puffed sleeves and a full spirt
She carried a nosegay of pastel
mixed spring flowers.
Mr. Batliner was best man.

bride's home followed the cere
mony. After a wedding trip In
the east the couple will live in
Salem. For going away the bride
chose a beige suit with brown
and white accessories.

Mary's church Saturday morn
ing at 9:30.
The altar and sanctuary were

read the nuptial high mass and
performed the ceremony. Lawr
ence Saalfeld, a classmate of
the bride, was master of cere
monies. Miss Helen Keber play
ed the wedding march and ac
companied St Mary's choir. Miss
Eusteile Bauman sang "Ave
Maria."
The bride, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Jacob Bartnik of Mt.
Angel, was given in marriage
by her father. She wore a gown
of slipper satin with wide lace
panels in the skirt and long pea
cock train. The lace insets were
repeated in the waist and upper
part of the long sleeves. Her
finger-tip veil of illusion fell
from a lace cap1, and halo of
" satin scrolls. She carried an arm
bouquet of individual gladiolus
blossoms, gypsophilia and hum
bold ti. Her only ornament was
a string of pearls, the gift of
the groom.
Miss Gertrude Bartnik, sister
of the bride, was maid of honor.
She wore an Alice blue chiffon
gown with lace insertions in the
skirt, shirred waist and a pink
net shoulder veil. She carried
a nosegay of pink rosebuds and
white sweet peas. The brides
maid. Miss Dorothy Orthmann,
wore a gown similarly fashion
ed of pink chiffon with match
ing veil and nosegay.
Joseph Henny was best man
and Rudolph Henny was usher.
Breakfast was served at the
home of the bride and the wed
ding dinner follewed at 12:30
noon at the Mt. Angel hotel. A
three-tiered wedding cake form
ed the centerpiece.
Miss Thrasilla Barr and Miss
Margaret Gilles served, and Miss
Roseann Henny played the piano.
The reception was held at the
home of the bride. Assisting
about the rooms and serving

ly elected grand regent, suc
ceeding Mrs. J. D. White. Com
mittees for the coming year will

regent at this meeting. The

14 cup scalded milk
2 eggs separated
Vi cup molasses
Vi cup sugar
Dash of salt
H teaspoon vanilla
cup shredded coeoanut
Soften gelatine in cold milk
Beat eea volks. add molassea
sugar and salt. Pour scalded
milk over gelatine and stir until
dissolved. Add to e yolk mix
ture, then cook over hot water
stirring constantly for five min
utes. Add vanilla and chill untU
mixture is slightly thickened.
Fold in coeoanut and stiffly beat
en egg whites. Chill until firm.
