Weaving Guild on Monday at
the Art Center and will hold

A former Salem couple, Miss
Helen Katherine White and Mr.
Stanley Knight, were quietly
married Saturday, March 21 at
Vancouver, Wash, at o'clock.
The bride, who made her
home here until two years ago,
is the daughter of Mrs. Avis
White of Salem. For her wed
ding she wore a navy blue and
white pin striped tailleur with
navy and white accessories and
a corsage of gardenias - and
reses.

of Oregon City attended the

The bride is a graduate of Sa

PEACH COOKIE STRIPS
1 cup dried peaches v
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons shortening
1 egg
cup chopped nut meats
teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
teaspoon baking powder
Vt teapson salt .
Confectioners' sugar
Boil peaches 10 minutes in suf
fident water to cover, drain and
chop. Cream sugar with short
ening, add beaten egg and mix.
Add nuts, peaches, flavoring and
flour sifted with baking powder
and salt and beat Pour Into, a
greased shallow pan. Bake about
25 minutes in a slow oven (350
degrees). While still warm, cu
into strips and roll in confec
tioners sugar.
