Boys' Camps To Continue War developments will not se riously curtail the summer camps of the Pacific coast area, Carl Greider, director of Salem YMCA's Camp Silver Creek, re ported Thursday on his return from the meeting of the Pacific Camping association at Santa Barbara, Calif. Only a few camps are In areas restricted, Greider said. Others will increase their activities be cause of crowding near defense industries and may branch into work camps for the harvests. Al though camps will continue to train boys for ruggedness and endurance, the conference gave a definite "no" to military training, in accord with advice from mili tary officials. 'Preparation -for emergencies such as evacuations, however, was stressed. Seniors Veto Caps, Gowns In a poll taken in senior class home rooms at the senior high schopl this week, class members voted to wear formats and suits instead of caps and gowns as sug gested,. ... Sample cards were distributed to the. senior home rooms last Monday and the styles, lettering and ordering of them were dis cussed by a member of the class. The cards will be ordered On March 17. Petzoldt nationally known missionary : and lecturer, ana ior za years superintendent of Indian missions on the Crow In dian reservation in Montana, will appear at the Calvary B a p t i a t church Wednesday night at 7:30. Dr. Petzoldt is an authority on the Indian. Under direction of the Indian office in Washington and New York City his group made a research survey of all the Indian reservations in the United States, participated in many-Indian coun cils, visited and studied , tribes in Canada and Mexico. 1 . i He spends several months each year lecturing and giving address es and has appeared repeatedly on programs of national and state conventions. His name is to the "Who's Who In America and the honorary degree of doctor of di vinity was conferred on him by Linfield college in 1929. In some of the larger cities he has spoken, through interpreters, to audiences of 13 foreign speaking groups. The public is invited to hear Dr. Petzoldt, according to Rev. Edward L.
