OTH home and church weddings hold the spotlight again in Salem. Among the attractive ceremonies of the week was that of a prominent Salem couple. 5 The home of Mayor and Mrs. W. W. Chadwick was the scene of thie marriage of their daughter, Miss Margaret Chad wick, to Mr. Harland Melvin Krause, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. R.. Krause of Mayville, Wisconsin, Saturday night. At 8 o'clock Rev. S. Raynor Smith read the service before an improvised altar of acacia, carnations, daffodils and snapdragons. The bride's cousin, Miss Marjorie Erp of Chehalis, played the music. j For her wedding the bride chose a model of white marquisette fashioned wTtha full floor-length skirt Lace Insertions formed a yoke on the bodice made with c high neckline. The sleeves, long and full, were caught at the cuffs with a lace band Th fingertip length tulle veil cascaded from a tiara of seed pearls. The brldei carried a bouquet of pink roses and narcissus,, cen tered with a white fuschia tipped orchid. Miss Carmen Wood of Portland, the bride's only attendant, wore ah ice blue satin frock enhanced with silver threads. The skirt was full and the sleeves three-quarter length. She carried a bouquet of Joanna Hill roses and narcissus and wore the same flowers In her hair. Mr. Orin Johnson of Spokane was Mr. Krause's best man. , For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Chadwick wore a black full skirted frock with a white waist and a corsage of pink roses and narcissus. A reception for the wedding guests followed the ceremoriy. The bride's table was centered with a bouquet of acacia, pink roses and pink candleS. Mrs. J. H. Erp, grandmother of the bride, presided at the coffee urn and Mrs. C. T. Reaney sf :' n I (Eleanor Chadwick) cut her sisters wedding cake. Serving were Miss Maradee Gatchell of Portland and Mrs. L. A. Cummings. When the couple left on their wedding trip to Spokane the new Mis. Krause wore a pastel blue wool ensemble with a princess coat embellished with a red fox collar. Her accessories were navy;: and she wore an orchid corsage. The couple will reside in Salem at the Roberts apartments. j The bride attended Oregon State college and is a member of Kappb Kappa Gamma.
