X t H iii ' ii inn ii 6Gtizen Kane5 Radical Film Hollywood is a-buzz over the radical story-telling technique in troduced by Orson Welles in his Mercury, production, "Citizen Kane," the RKO Radio sensation which is showing at the Grand theatre. The hero of the story is a com plicated character, who demands everything on his own terms, even love. It is to explain this complex individual that the dramatic tech nique was evolved by Orson Welles of presenting the story through the thoughts of all the friends and enemies of the great man. No normal sequence of time is followed. Incidents jump back and forth from Kane's youth to his old age as the different char acters relate their memories. "Citizen Kane," opens with Kane's death, a stark, lonely, sol emn, and thrilling scene, which closes with Kane's last word, Rosebud."
