Sunday
On Sunday afternoon at 4:30
O'clock Miss Evelyn Mary Mey
ers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Goer Meyers of Salem,' became
. the bride of Mr. Boss Hudin. son
of Mrs. ' Jessie End in of Salem.
The ceremony took place at the
Leslie Methodist church with
tev. Dean Poindexter officiat
ing. , Mr. Meyers escorted his
daughter, to the altar and fare
her away in marriage. For her
wedding she chose a white ciul-
ton town fashioned with bishop
gleeves, high neckline and aga-
thered girdle of chilion. Her
foine veil was fuH length and abe
carried a bouquet of white bou-
vardia and roses.
Miss Wma T -atham of Mc-
Minnville was the bride's only
attendant and she wore a yel
low frock and carried a bouquet
of sweetpeas.
Mr. David Bartruff of Salem
stood with Mr. Rudin as best
man. The ushers were Mr. Neal
Russell of Mc Minnville and Mr.
Francis McKee of Salem.
The couple' greeted their
guests in the foyer of the church
after the wedding. Mr. and Mrs.
Rudin and his bride will reside
in Coquilie after their wedding
trip.
For her daughter's marriage
Mrs. Meyers wore a blue and
white silk print with white ac
cessories and a corsage of sweet
peas. Mrs. Rudin was gowned in
a dusty pink crepe frock with
white accessories and a sweet
pea corsage.
Both the bride and groom at
tended Salem schools and she is
graduate of the Oregon Col
lege of Education.
Marr-Kopecky
Vows Said
Miss Jeanette Kopecky,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben
jamin Kopecky of Salem, and
Mr. Harvey Marr, the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Marr of Sherlin,
Oregon, were united in marriage
at an impressive ceremony at
the Reverend Pemberton's home
at Dallas, Saturday, June 7, at
o'clock.
The bride wore a floor length
white chiffon gown fashioned
with a square neck, short puffed
sleeves, shirred bodice, and full
skirt In her hand she carried a
bridal bouquet of white lUies
centered with a cluster of dainty
pink and white sweetpeas which
were bound by a white net rib-
bon.

feta floor length gown and car
ried a bouquet of gardenias and
sweetpeas. Mr. James Marr, bro
ther of the bridegroom, was best

The attendants were the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Benjamin Kopecky, and Mrs.
Walter Holecheck and Mrs. John'
Holechek of Independence. Fol
lowing the ceremony, a recep
tion was held at the home of the
bride's uncle and aunt,. Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Holechek.
The couple left for their home
at Sherlin, after the ceremony. .

Junior Club Has
Work to Do '
The annual meeting of the
Junior Woman's club was held
Monday at the clubhouse with
Mrs. Joseph Felton presiding.
Reports were given for activi
ties oi the past year.
Philanthropic work has been
conducted through dues and
rummage sale proceeds. From
this fund, the club has provided
either a pair of glasses or a I
wnsueciomy f eacn month for a
needy child. '.The club has also
provided clothing, toys and
sentials for little boy at the
state school Ifor the blind, and
this spring will purchase an ar
tificial eye for him. This child
has been a protege of the club
for the past j three years, under
the personal supervision of Mrs.
Joseph Tompkins. The Junior
dub has also maintained care
of a WPA ijursery school child
during the winter months.
Interest in the state institu
uons has been further shown
by the club ; in its adoption of
a young girl at the state tuber
culosis hospital, now an honor

year, over 60 Christmas gifts

trict of Juniors in the Oreeon
federation, has been the Chil
dren's Farm home, and this year
