One of the most completely stocked and equipped stores of
its land in the west is the new Farm store of Sears, Roebuck and
company, opening Saturday morning at 173 South Liberty. Over
12,200 different items are available to patrons of this new Sears
unit which, according to Gene

voted to poultry equipment, farm
machinery and engines, fencing,
harnesses and saddles, ., riding
clothes,' gardening tools and dai
rying equipment A dazzling dis
play of sterling silver, hand-engraved
belt buckles and other
riding costume jewelry is also
featured. I

ed at the Farm store, accord
ing to Harold Bnslck, Sears Pa
cific coast buyer for farm and
riding equipment who is here
for the bpeninsr, are assembled
from 11 different trading posts
on the Navajo reservation In
Arizona.
He also pointed out other- fea
tures of Sears farm eauiDment
including the fact that mobile un
its mowers, .farm trucks and
trailers, hay-loaders, etc. are all
equipped with ' interchangeable
wheels.

Miller, Fruitland, was united in
marriage Sunday to Wesley John
Mix, cf this place at a ceremony
at ;the bride's home.
! The groom Is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Mix. He was raised
here and was educated In the
Aunjsville, schools. The bride was
a resident of this community for
some time. They will make their
home on a ranch near Aumsville.
Miss Eva Corser, teacher of the
primary grades here, her mother,
Mrs; Marjie Corser, a niece, Miss
Marian Rowland, and Mrs. Den-
nison, Scio, left Tuesday, for points
in Minnesota, Iowa and Winnipeg,
Canada, on a vacation trip -
Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Otto left
after school closed for a short
vacation, at Dillard with her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Meredith. Their
daughters, Roma and Noma, ac
companied them.
Mr. Otto will be employed in
the license department of the state
automobile department in Salem
this : summer, and Mrs. Otto will
be an instructor in the 4H sum
mer school at Corvallis.

days; this week at the Smith river
