DALLAS The annual youth
Conference, sponsored by the five
Mennonite churches of Dallas,
.West Salem, and Salem, will be
held Sunday afternoon and night,
May 25, at the Dallas high school
auditorium.

was brought to Dallas Saturday by
heriff T. B. Hooker following his
arrest at Port Orford, on a bench
warrant charging non-support.
White is being held in the Polk
county jail under $1000 bail. He
will be arraigned before Judge Ar
lie G. Walker.
I E. W. Martin was arrested at
West Salem on a charge of lar
ceny 'by bailee. He was given a
preliminary hearing before Jus
tice ot the Peace Elmer Cook,
West Salem. Martin requested
time to consult an attorney. He is
being held in the' Polk county 'jail
Under $100 bail.

was held Friday in me dining room
of Jhe Christian church. Approxi
mately 200 . students and faculty
members were present
Following me dinner a program
was presented with Duane Jones,
president of me junior class, acting
as toastmaster. This included talks
by Superintendent R. R. Turner,
Principal S. E. WhitworthJ Miss
Kathryn Rowe, junior class advis
or, Howard Horner, senior class
advisor and Bonnie Grow, presi
dent of the seniors.
