Simple
While feeding a child Is Im
portant, and often causes no lit
tle concern to an over-scheduled
mother, there are many times
when food ' for even the very
young can be Included on the
menu for the whole family. '
When children are quite young
they will relish these citrus fruit
desserts, suitable also for : the
adults of the family:
AMBROSIA (Serves 1)
' Peel and slice a orange. Halve
or quarter slices. Sprinkle with
sugar to taste and 1 table
spoons coconut A quartered
marshmallow may be mixed
with the orange.
LEMON CHEESE TREAT
(Serve 4)
4 teaspoons granulated
gelatine
2 tablsepoons cold water
Soak 5 minutes. Add:
1V4 cups boiling water
1 cup sugar
Few grains salt
Vi cup lemon juice
When jelly begins to stiffen,
beat with egg beater until light
and frothy.
Add: 1 cup cottage cheese
Stir well. Chill; in individual
molds..
rOT OF GOLD DESSERT ,
(Orange Custard)
(Serves 6)
3 egg yolks, beaten
cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
teaspoon aslt
1 cup orange Juice
1 cup cream (or evaporated
milk)
Mix together thoroughly 'and
cook in double boiler until thick
ened. Add: 1

Cool. Turn Into Individual
molds over; ,
