SILVER TON City Manager
Elgin McCleary was instructed to
gain further information on Sil
verton bridges and present this
at the" regular meeting of the city
council to be held May. 5, it was
decided at Tuesday night's special
meeting. No agreement on repairs
could be reached by the council.
Members felt that not sufficient
information was at hand. '
- The trend of the discussion was
that if - it is possible to fix the k
James avenue bridge temporarily
at little cost then this should be
done so that it could be used
while the ' Main street bridge is
being repaired. But if the tem
porary repairs prove expensive,
then it would be best to make the
"temporary" situation last at least
for a few years until, further
funds could be voted for its re
placement. The city budget, at
present, does not provide for
bridge repair! but,! members of
the council report,' some means
of repairing the two bridges will
have to be figured out in the near
future. I '
At the special council mee
three ordinances " came up for
their third reading. The ordinance
