March 15. 1941 National Ma Additional Revenue for Hotels and ' Other Businesses Results With Influx of Exhibitors The community as a whole benefits from a good dog show, ac-l cording to editor Will Judy, of the Dog World magazine as pointed out by J. HL Willeti, general chairman of the Lions Kennel dun doe show. Editor Judy says that the holding of an "all-breed' dog show represents; the average expenditure of better than $3000. A national checkup reveals that 4 the average i dog show pf some three hundred entries draws dogs and dog lovers froni all parts of the country resulting in additional revenue to hotels, restaurants, and business houses in jgeneral. Aside from the financial bene fits, a dog show has definite ed ucational value, for by a good showing of the best dogs the gen eral public has an opportunity to see for themselves j the various breeds of fine dogs and learn the better points of j dogdom as a whole. Pupils Watch Dog Perform Unusual visitors entertained boys and girls of Richmond school Friday morning. Willis Moon Shadow, black cocker spaniel, and Son of Suzanna, a red and white parti-color, were introduced by their owner, J. H. The program culminated a dog show activity that has been car ried on in the first grade room un der direction of the; teacher, Mrs. Carmen Jennison.
