Fair Warning ... To those who labored
under the delusion that "Carmen" was go
ing to be sung with Metropolitan technique,
let us say, that "Jack and the Beanstalk"
is a child's opera, put on for children. When
Tom Williams sings the role of the cow
well, you grownups may need a little im
agination. Lion and Lamb ... motif was used at
the Credit Women's Breakfast club Boss's
breakfast the other morning. We thought it
a good idea, but there's a deeper mean
ing than just its connection with the month
of March. We immediately thought of the
docile employe and the fierce boss.
