whea market today ran Into more

higher.
At one time May wheat was off
cent from Saturday's close to
81, lowest since December 22.
Pinal? prices were unchanged to
higher than Saturday, with

Some of the market's weakness
was associated with increased re
ceipt at some terminals, particu
larly In the southwest. This con
tributed hedging sales which were
offset by remoral of hedges
against flour and cash wheat
business, by reinstatement of lines
sold out Saturday and by short
corering.
British trade sources minimised
the importance of the German
soviet grain deal disclosed Fri
day. Broomhall, British authority,
said the report that a Russian
mission was to negotiate for ex
ports of Argentine grain suggest
ed this might be trans-shipped to
Germany or used to replace Rus
sian grain turned orer to Ger
many, Traders here said it was
not clear how any large scale
shipments from Argentina were
to be! made in rlew of the short
age of ocean space and the block
ade. !

positions may be anticipated.
