Holiday Air
Holidays are nearly here and
here's a well named pie crust
that's jvst a little bit extra good.
Especially for holidays:
HOLIDAY PIE CRUST
1 cups flour
2 tablespoons finely -cut wal-
nuts, pecans or pistachios
3 tablespoons sugar
hi teaspoon salt
H cup very cold fat
1 small egg
About 2 tablespoons cold or
ice water
Sift flour, salt and sugar into
bowl; chop fat in until like coarse
corn meal; stir in finely-cut nut
meats; beat egg with water and
blend with other Ingredients.
Chill at least an hour before roll
ing out. To make individual pies,
cut rounds large enough to fill
muffin tins; press in lightly; fill
with Juicy fruit sweetened with
sugar in which 1 tablespoon flour clear. Use day-old bread, eithei
has been blended. Press edges white or brown; add to ingredi

ty gingerbread cupcakes, frosted

Here is the recipe for molasses
mousse:
MOLASSES MOUSSE
4 eggs
1 cup molasses
2 tablespoons orange juice
H teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 pint cream, whipped
Beat eggs very light, add mo
lasses and cook in a double boil
er, stirring constantly until It
thickens. Place dish In pan of ice
and stir until creamy and cool.
Add orange Juice, cinnamon and
salt. When well-blended, gradual
ly pour over stiffly beaten cream
Fill mold and pack in ice and salt
4 parts ice to 1 part salt). Let
stand four hours. Serves 12.
