Sllrerton Armistice day program.
Following tradition ot many
years standing, Sllrerton business
houses will close their store and
offices for the day. A parade will
be held at 10 o clock through the
main streets of town, winding up
at the armory where at 11 o'clock
the program will begin

Ed Rubesh sustained Injuries at
his work in a Lebanon cannery
this week. He has operated a berry
farm west of Scio tor a number of
! years and Is secretary of the local
organization selling its pool to the
Lebanon concern.
R. o. Wood of Staytoa was in
Scio this week to confer with lo
cal Boy Scout leaders. Wood is
district commissioner for the or
der.
Frost Sunday night destroyed
many late flowers in the scio
vicinity. It was the first frost of
the season here, and unofficial
temperature Just touched the
freezing point.

gather at Scio Saturday afternoon

Frank Lamplot fell from a hay
loft at his farm home southeast
of Scio this week and sustained
a fractured collarbone and ribs.
W. E. Kyle, who has been un
der hospital treatment at Albany
for an injured foot, has returned
to his home at Scio, and is re
ported much Improved.
