Report Says no
Reduction Seen
Indicates Small Profit It
Possible in Operation
of Clatskanie PUD
The Clatskanie people's utility
district could be operated at a
small profit but no Immediate rate
reduction would be possible, the
state hydroelectric commission re
ported here Monday.
The profit would be contingent
upon the district using Bonneville
power, the report said.
The report Indicated that rate
reductions would normally be
made only when Justified by the
financial condition of the district
and after the accumulation of re
serve funds to care for, possible
emergencies.
"There is a possibility,' the re
port continued, "that the district
would be able to furnish to its
people more electricity for the
sam revenue resulting in less cost
