SILVERTON At the Monday
night meeting of the Junior Wom
an's club plans were made for Tar
ions spring activities. Largest of
these will be the spring dance In
April at which Mrs. Laura Tok
stad will serre as chairman.
Mrs, Ralph Larson was ap
pointed chairman of the commit
tee to assist in the Parent-Teach
er association program to be sir
en March 29. ,
Plans "were discussed for the
golden .Jubilee and fashion tea
planned' for mid-March, with the
exact date to be set later. Serving
on the committee to make the ar
rangements for this are Helen
Green, Lola Larson, Laura Tok
stad, Mable Hoblitt, Cleone Bry
son, Merlam Krueger, Evelyn
Bye, Emily Harl, Maxine Hagen,
and Ellen Lindholm.
A no-hostess supper was plan
ned for March 11 for the chamber
of commerce rooms when Mrs.
Harold Peterson of Dallas will be
the speaker.
On February 26 the annual ben
efit card party will be held at the
Legion auxiliary rooms. Each
member Is to be responsible for
one table. Helen Orren wil be the
hostess.

child's eyes to save the sight of
the other. The disease is fatal If
