Track Hits Car, Hubbard Station HUBBARD An unusual acci dent occurred at the" intersection of the Pacific highway and the Hubbard-Needy road Wednesday afternoon about, 4 o'clock. A light coupe driven by G. II. Miller of Habbard collided with a large freight truck as Miller pulled out onto the highway from Hubbard. The truck was going south, and in aa attempt to avoid the acci dent, turned oft to the left and smashed into the Powell service station. A large plate glass win dow and frame work of the serv ice station were damaged. N on was hurt. Miller's car was damaged slightly. Rainwater Dies At North Sinti4aiii NORTH SANTIAM Fred A. Rainwater, 68, died at his home here Friday. Funeral services, will be Monday at Stayton from the Weddle funeral home with burial at Albany. He waa born In Benton county January 22, 1880, and ' hag been a resident of this neighborhood for the past nine years. . Surviving are his widow. Vir tue It ha; three children, A. L.
