farm exhibited three foxes at the
northwest Hto fox show In Oresh
m on Monday and won three
places In the show, a second, third
and sixth. A treat many animals
were shown and " competition in
the rarions classes was rery keen.
The second place was won In the
foil sUrer male pup class, against
abont SO entries In the same
class. This was the first lire fox
show In Ore on in ten years and
was a large affair. . . V -
Many entries from Washington
competed in the show, which in
cluded If classifications lor ex
hibits, he Stacey farm was the
only Liberty exhibitor. .
Attending the show Monday
from here were Mr. - and Mrs.
C. W. Stacey. Mr. and Mrs. W. D.
Olden, who are also local fox
farmers, and Arthur Blngenhel
mer.

farmers are planning to exhibit in
the pelt show in Salem on Norem
ber SO, the show to be sponsored
by the Oregon Fox Breeder's as
sociation. Stacey plans entry In
most of the pelt classes, which
will be palo atlrer, fall slirer and
medium sllrer.

. was for the past several years the
.largest far ranch in. Oregon, for
merly exceeded only, by one .In
Hood Rlrer. The Hood Rlrer
ranch has since been dlylded and
the. Staeey ranch has - steadily
grown. This year SSO. silver fox
pelts were taken on this farm.

Nets $34 for Club
PEDEE A very successful pie
social netting $34 was held by the
Jolly Neighbors club at the club
house Friday night. About 70
guests were present and ell arall
able pies were sold, with the ex
ception of a few which were
brought as special gifts to the
children.
The Independence Commercial
club presented as part of the pro
gram, a vocal solo, a reading, an
. accordion solo and two cowboy
vocal solos. The program was
completed by a tamborine and ac
cordion duet by Frank Dewltt
and Gus Jahns. a song by six Pe
dee school girls and an accordion
solo by Gus Jahns.
