Tourist travel has been rery
heavy through Lebanon this year,
according to resorts from the pro
prietors of the two Lebanon auto
parks. Maple Court, operated by
Mr. and Mrs. C C. Kambak. and
Cosy Court, purchased "three
months ago , by Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Mann, have both been
occupied most of the time.

' man of the flower show com
mittee for the Harvest festival
to be at Lebanon October 14, is
asking that flower growers in
rural areas bring In entries.
Prizes will be awarded flower ex
hibits. "Women and the Way" was the
lesson at the Women's Foreign
Missionary society of the Meth
odist church which met this week
at the home of Mrs. Verne Reeves.
. Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Booth re
turned Tuesday from California.
L. E. Arnold left Thursday for
Portland with the Linn county
exhibits for the Pacific Interna
tional livestock exhibit.

4H Healtli Club
VICTOR POINT A 4H health
club has been organized in the
school here. Miss Sadie Roth is
the leader and officers are: presi
dent, Richard Krenz; vice-president,
Vlvienne Jaq.net; secretary
treasurer, Agnes Jean Darby.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lorence
left Saturday for a racation trip.
Plans were to go by train to De
troit where a new car will be
purchased for the remainder of
" the trip. Among other places they
will visit the New York world's
fair.
. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Savage re
turned home Thursday from a
several days' fishing trip to Brem
erton, Wash., their former home.
They were accompanied by Mr,
and Mrs. Harry Needham (Helen
Savage) of Salem. Nine salmon
- were brought home by the party.

Ladies' club held its first meet
ing of the season at the home
of Mrs. Anna Bell Wednesday
afternoon, October 4.
Plans were discussed for the
coming year. Luncheon: was
served by the hostess to the fol

George Glover, Mrs. Myles KIntx,
Mrs. William Duchateau, i Mrs.
John Half man, Mrs. Eugene Dit

The next meeting will be at the
home of Mrs. Eugene Ditter on
October 18.

land Thursday, acting as best man
for John Zuber, who was married
