schools. The bride was graduated
. from Oregon Normal and Is on the
Portland teaching staff. For go

denias. They will reside In Port
land where a new home will be
ready for occupancy la September.

Final Rites Held

Nixon, who died Juno 16 at Cot
tage Grove, was buried here at
the Butler cemetery Sunday with
funeral services conducted by
Rev. Henry Asrhuse.
Mr. Nixon waa bo a April 6,
1856, at McArthur, Ohio, later
moved to West Virginia, where
he married Miss Lucy Christian.
To this union 10 children were
born.
In 1928 the family moved to
Bridges, Ore., later settling at
Cottage Grove. Survivors are his
widow, Lucy, four sons, Q. T.
Nixon. Walla Walla, W. K. Nix
on, Molalla, David '. : Nixon, ot
Acmsville, Henry Nixon, Drain;
three daughters, Matilda Carson,
White 8ulphur, W.V.. Marie
Rose, East Rainelle, W.V.; Mar
