In announcing the opening of
his new Salem dental offices to
morrow at 9 a. m.. Dr. Harry
Semler brings to this commun-
ty a dental service well-known
to thousands of patients through
out, the northwest. The new of
fices occupy the entire second
floor of the Adolph building, and
are dominated by a large, bright
reception room, luxuriously
furnished in the cheerful man
ner of a pleasant home.
Branching from the reception
room are nine dental operating
rooms, in which many-pieces of
the latest scientific equipment
known to the dental profession
have been installed. Special at
tention has been given to the
X-ray department,- in which pho
tographic records of hidden in
fection maj be secured instantly;
and the teeth which may offer
special problems be made plain to
the dentist at a moment's nof
tice. I
Has Own Laboratoriefl -
Dr. Semler also maintains his
own laboratories in connection
with his 'dental offices, so he
may personally supervise the
production of all his plate and
bridge work. It is estimated
that more than 50,000 patients
are now wearing dental plates
that were made in Dr. Semler's
laboratories. . -v.
Dr. Semler Is a native son.
born -In Portland and educated
in the Portland' schools. A gradu
ate of the North Pacific College
of Dentistry in 1918, he has
spent the past 20 years In build
lng his present practice. !
During the first few years of
his practice. Dr. Semler made
an extensive study of the care
of teeth among working . people.
He discovered that many, ere
neglecting their teeth because
they could not afford a dental
service on a cash basis. This
led him to formulate a credit
plan by. which people could ob
tain a dental service commen
surate with their small in
comes. Today Dr. Semler 'points
with pride to the fact that he
was one of the first dentists in
America to offer all branches of
dental work on credit, without
additional cost. .
This liberal policy ; has earned
for him a clientele that numbers
thousands of patients, and to
day, because of Dr. Semler's lib
eral credit plan, many of the
community's smallest wage earn
ers are able to afford them
selves of a timely and needed
dental service. -

Commenting on his new Salem
dental offices, Dr. Semler said:

In further discussion of his
practice, Dr. Semler said:
"Yes, it is true, more than
a hundred thousand! patients
have been served in my Port
land dental offices, but what 1
am exceptionally proud of is
the fact that more than 65 per
cent of them came recommended
by my previous patients.

tion KSLM in Salem. Dr. Sem

for the past five years,, and has
an estimated listening audience
of several hundred thousand.
These news flashes are jroad
cast at-Intervals throughout the
daytime and evening hours. A
schedule of the exact time of
each broadcast will be mailed to
those making written requests
to Dr. Semler's offices.
Dr. Semler will 'also sponsor
an additional radio- program in
the future and wants to find out
the. type of entertainment his
listeners in this community
