Cashier Killed Father each brought in a mate on base Work Progresses On Creek Bridge SCIO Work is reported pro gressing well on the new concrete bridge spanning Thomas creek east of Sciq on the Scio-Lyons state secondary highway. The bridge will be complemented by 1.62 miles of new highway. The structure, which is expected to be completed In a few months, re places the old ' Shindler bridge near that point. Reports reaching Scio are that lumbermen Interested in a large mill at Lyons are negotiating for timber on Thomas creek east of Scio. The Thurston Thomas and other timber, tracts in that vicin ity are under consideration.
