life saving test at the TWCA
camp on the Santiam. Marian was
the youngest of the group.

Turner, since the burning of their
home Sunday morning, caused
presumably by a chimney spark
on the roof. A Salem fire engine
responded to a hurried call and
was the. means of saving the ad
joining house belonging to Mrs.
Emma Moore.
Shirley was asleep in an up
stairs room, and was rescued
shortly before that, part of the
roof fell la. Most of the house
furnishings were saved.
Some insnrance was . carried on
the building. The barn on the
property burned about two weeks
ago.
