Hospital Plans'

der to take advantage of the fed

PWA administrator, informed the
state board of control yesterday.
. The proposed structure . will
cost approximately $200,000, of
which $90,000 will be allocated
by the government.
Board of control members said
the plans would be completed by
August 16, fnd that actual work
on the structure would start a
short time later.
The institution will hare ac
commodations -for 50 bed pa
tients. ,

DETROIT Logging crews and mills resumed opera
tions Tuesday after a week's shut down due to low humidity.
All crews are working what is called the "hoot owl" shift
from 4 a. m. to 1 :30 p. m. f

at the Salem Deaconess early yes
terday afternoon with a serious
knee laceration and numerous
cuts and abrasions about the
back, arms and legs, as a result
of a collision at 14th and Mill
streets between r his ; motorcycle
and a car driven by Joan Martin,
390 Richmond avenue.
The city first aid car. attended
the. Injured man and, in the ab
sence of an ambulance, transport
ed him to the hospital.
