A large num ber of portable pens are in readi ness for exhibitors at the Fat Lamb Show, which is to be held in Scio Saturday of this week. The corner of Main and Mill streets. adjoining the Dr. Prill office property, will be used for this. the third event of Its kind In Sclo. F. C. Mullen. Linn county agent, who discussed the show over KOAC, said, among other things: "The object of the show is to encourage the production of early high-type- marketable lambs in the season when prices are at their peak. As the season advances prices usually decline. It is reported by sheepmen in the county that the show already has tended to encourage the fattening joI early lambs." Two years ago, according to records of the show, 57 lambs were in the exhibit pens. This was more than doubled last year, with 119. The show this week in con fidently expected to bring out at least 200, in the opinion of Com mittee Chairman Rodgers, a vet eran sheepman of this locality who assisted in pioneering the lamb show.
