Lemmon to Coach
Bill Lemmon. whose basket
ball team from little Bellfoun
tain high captured the 1937 Ore
gon state high 'school champion
ship, announced yesterday that
he has accepted a position as
athletic coach at Eatonville.
Wash., high school. Lemmon will
coach all sports.
Lemmon, a graduate of Wil
lamette , university in 1936, pro
duced a state championship bas
ketball team at Bellfountain, a
school of only 28 students. In his
first : year of coaching. He was
principal, coach and one of two
teachers at Bellfountain.
Before coming to Willamette
Lemmon -attended Stadium high
in Taeoma where he played on
its state 'championship basketball
team In 1931.
Eatonville high Is a school of
about 250 students. Lemmon
characterized it as ten times as
big as Bellfountain.-

The Inverness course was in
good shape despite the windy and
rainy weather, but those factors
bothered many of the players, es
pecially on the long nine.
