The Women's Missionary soci
ety of the First Evangelical
church will have its regular
monthly meeting in the assembly

7:30 o'clock. A musical and bus
iness program has been planned
for the evening.
Several negro spirituals will be
sung by a male quartet., Mrs.
Fred Remington will give special
music and Mrs. W. A. Barkus
will give a dramatic-Interpretation
of the new study book.

a surprise going-away party by

soon for San Antonio, Texas,

the men's quartet including Max
Alford, Lyman McDonald, Leon
Barrick and Howard Leach. They
were accompanied by Mrs. Mc
Donald. Miss Merle Stewart, ac
companied by Mrs. Belle Nile
Brown, sang a vocal number.
Following the ceremonies, re
freshments were served, the com
mittee Included Mrs. Clio Cashatt
and Mrs. Clay Taylor.
The Women's Bible class ot the
First Methodist church will meet
on Friday with Mrs. J. R. Car
ruthers, route 6. box 36D, at 2: SO
o'clock. The hostess will be assist
ed by Mrs. Lena Lisle, Mrs. O. W.
Jewett and Mrs. Cordelia LaBare.
