Silverton ; Choir
To Sing Cantata
SILVERTON, March 25 One
of the 'outstanding Easter "events
will be the cantata, "Easter Mem
ories," by John Creswell, to be
given by the Methodist choir un
der the direction of Fred Baker,
with Mrs. Edson Comstock at the
piano and Mrs. William Swift as
violinist. Candlelight will be used.
The cantata will be given at the
Methodist church Sunday night at
8 o'clock.
- Three Instrumental selections
will be the candlelit processional,
"Crown Him With Many Crowns,"
the prelude, "Twilight Devotion,"
and the offertory, "The Holy
City,? played by Mrs. Comstock
and Mrs. Swift. The choir pro
gram Includes:

home of Principal and Mrs.
Paul E. Robinson, Tuesday
morning a robin perched on
the branches of a cherry
tree about four feet from
the window and began fly
ing, pecking and scratching,
trying to get in or to fight
with the bird he could see in
the glass.
He banged the window so
hard many of the times that
Sirs. Robinson felt surely he
would die or the window
would break. The robin hit
the glass abont every 45 to
OO seconds all day, and then
began his labor again Wed
nesday morning until be
dropped dead. !
Mrs. Robinson worried
about the bird, and because
It made her nervous, chased
it abont m block from the
house several times, but was
unable to make him cease.

be held at Monmouth - with ten
