Ramage, Wood barn; and F. W.

Leave For Homes
Called by Death
SII.VERTON.Jan. 15 Mrs. Tom
A. Anderson received word Thurs
day of the death of her father at
Seattle and left at onco for there.
He had been visiting at Sllverton
and was taken to his Seattle home
last Sunday. i
i Most of the legislators living In
western Oregon left for their
homes prior1 to noon Friday and
a number of them will not return
uatil Monday morning, i Others
will arrive here Sunday night.
Several legislators residing east
of the Cascade mountains will
tpend the weekend in Portland.

senate left for his home at Astoria

i Speaker. Bolvin of the house
will remain In Salem.
Farewell Party Held
STATTON. Jan. 15 A farewell
party for John Butler and Wilmer
Pouliot was held Monday night at
the Butler home In Sublimity.
They left Tuesday morning to be
gin a three year enlistment In the
army. Games were played, follow
ed by a late supper.
