way for the Salem-Stayton gravity
pipeline will have been acquired
when the Salem city council acts
on a contract r witu tiie btayton
council for the use of streets ,in
the latter city The. Stayton coun
cil has voted to accept a contract
providing for payment of $200
tor easements through that city.
The contract will provide in
addition that the Salem water de
partment shall restore streets cut
in the pipe-laying operations to
their original condition. .
