Two Dairies Give
Up Use of Wells
The two Salem dairies Whose
well water supplies were recently
found to be contaminated hare
again been connected up with the
city i water system and the wells
disconnected, John L. Geren,
county milk inspector, reported
yesterday. City water service was
cut off from the two dairies by
the water department when it was
found c r o s s-connections existed
with the private well systems.
Geren said the. wells would not
be used again until the contamin
ation had been eliminated.
McKee District to Gel
New School Under WPA

McKee district, three miles
southeast of Woodburn, will have
a new scboolhouse by the time the
fall semester opens if plans for a
WPA project are carried out on

burn Justice court has been a busy
place the pan week with the fol
lowing offenders appearing before
Judge Overton.
. Viola Mae McClaln paid a fine
of $2$ and costs after pleading
guilty to the charge of reckless
driving. She was arrested by : a
state officer who charged in the
complaint that she drove in a very
reckless manner , and . speeded
while passing through intersec
tions of the highways.
Ererett Nelson- Waddle, who
appeared for trial July 15. charg
ed with reckless driving, chang
ed his plea to guilty and paid
fine of $25 and costs.
John B. Stauffer paid a fine of
$5 and -costs for driving without
an operator's license. William H

stop . at the scene of a collision,
entered a plea of not guilty and
his trial set for July 25 at 10 a.
