the local emergency crop loan
committee; consisting of Roy Mel
son, S. H. Van Trump, and P. W.
Eyre.; . ' ' f.--
Th emergency crop loans will
be made only to farmers who can
not obtain credit from any other
source, as provided by regulations
issued by the governor of the
Farm Credit administration. The
money loaned will t limited to
the farmer's immediate and actual
cash needs for growing hia $936
crops and In no instance may ex
ceed $200 tq one farmer.
Farmers are not eligible for
emergency loans if they can bor
row from an Individual, produc
tion credit association, bank, or
ether concern. Farmers will also
be considered ineligible if they
have an application pending with
the resettlement administration,
hay 3 received assistance from that
organisation this year or are in
debted to the resettlement admin
istration for an unpaid loan.
As ii the past, the security for
an emergency crop loan- will con
sist of a first Hen on the crop fi
nanced. Landlord or others hav
ing an Interest In the crop to be
financed will be required to waive
their claims in favor of Hen to
the governor of the Farm Credit
administration until the emergen
cy crop loan is paid.
Checks in payment of approved
loans will be issued by the Re
gional Crop and Feed Loan office
at Spokane.

Woodburn district will be held in
the city hall Saturday at 2 p. m.
All loganberry growers including
independent growers and mem
bers of the Woodburn Fruit Grow
ers Cooperative association . are

posed price control plan which
has been prepared under the co
operattve laws of the state.
O. L. Davis, president, announc
ed that there should be from 75
to SO per cent of the loganberry
acreage signed up in this area
making it possible with a good
signup in the rest of the state to
call a public meeting of logan

at the Oregon commonwealth con

Health Examinations
To Be Held March 31
At Jefferson School
JEFFERSON, March 20 The
annual school .health examina
tions are alated. for March 91, at
9 a.m. In the high school. First
graders, new pupils, and any spe
cial cases are eligible for these
examinations, which will be con
ducted by Dr. V. A. Douglas. Vac
cination will be given for small
pox, as well as one-dose adminis
trations of toxoid for diphtheria.
Tuberculin akin tests will also be
given to any child in school with
out charge.
All high school students will
be required to take tuberculin
tests unless they bring written ex
cuses from their parents or show
that they have bad the testj-ecent-
