Aurora The garden of the
country home of Mr. and Mrs.
Otto Knorr, was the setting for a
pretty ceremony May 21 at 2
o'clock, when their daughter, Miss
Evelyn Knorr, became the bride
of Frederick Kahle, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Karl Kahle, of West
Linn.
Pastor A. F. Knorr read the im
pressive service. Preceding the
ceremony, E. C. Diller sang "At
Dawning." He was accompanied
by Mrs. Diller at the piano.
The bride wore a gown of white
organdy with short veil caught by
orange blossoms. She carried an
arm bouquet of calla lillies. Miss
Emma Muessig, was her only at
tendant. Kark Kahle acted as best man
to his brother. Fifty guests were
present at the wedding dinner
which was served on long tables
in the garden. Upon their return
from the beaches they will reside
on a farm near Aurora.
Molalla. Mrs. Earl Stuwe was
elected noble grand of Oak Re
bekah lodge at a meeting Tues
day. She succeeds Mrs. J. O.
Staats. Other new officers elect
ed were Mrs. Ray Boehmke, vice
grand; MrSi Wayne Wright, sec
retary, and Lois' Adams, treasur
er. Mrs. Fred Damm is the out
going secretary and Frances Vick
the outgoing treasurer. The lodge
also received a prize from the for
mer president of the Rebekah As
sembly of Oregon for having more
members present when the presi
dent made her official visit than
had any other lodge in the state
with a membership between 100
and 150.

Shred the lettuce and cut the cel
ery hearts in fine pieces. Grate
the carrots coarsely. Shred and
dice the pimento. Flake the
shrimps. Mix all together and add
a rich aalad dressing. Chill and

, Cut celery in pieces three or
four- inches in length. Blanch
them In cold water to which a
little lemon juice or vinegar has
been added. Parboil them 10 min
utes. Drain, chill and dip in the
thick cold white sauee and when
they are . well covered with the
sauce, dip them in fine bread
crumbs and try them in deep fat

Jerry, five-year-old son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Killian of Al
bany, was fatally injured today
when a porchbox at the home of
a neighbor became dislodged and
fell on his head.
His neck was broken and he
died soon after being taken to a
hospital. . .
