It la expected that people will start catching np on long overdue replacements and new' cars will take the place ot the well worn ones. O We heard a salesman say that he used to sell on the average ot a case of malt a day and that he had not sold a case In the past month. O P. T. Dick, local Kellogg rep resentative, recently- made a trip through California to Mexico, go ing down the coast route anjl re turning inland, traveling a total distance of 2722 miles with the following expense, which he claims la a most economical trip. There were three In the party. Mr. Dick being- accompanied by his wife and her sister. The Itemized list ot expenses: 137 gallons gas $27.91 IS quarts oil 4.50 Car repairs 9.30 Refreshments 7.75 8 nights in cabins 11.00 2 Ferries . 2.71 Groc. and restaurants 11.92 Total Expense 175.09 That's $25.03 per person for 2722 or less than 1 cent per mile. Mr. Dick drove a 1930 phevrolet car and was on the road eight days. O Some of the smaller retail mer chants including some of the shoe stores have complained to us that the Red Cross requisitions have all been going to the larger stores. We think that at least it would be well to let the people purchase where they choose. That would save arguments. FOR SALE USED CARS McKay Chevrolet Co.
