eggs in face of the weakness dis
played Saturday. Word came that

heavy purchase but local distri

Prices locally were unchanged
for Tillamook cheese while a
slightly better movement was sug
gested all along the line.
Trade in the butter market was
inclined io rhow more-or less
weakness on the open market
where sales are occasionally
shown at VtC below established
values on cubes. Buttertat was
easier.
Situation in the egg market
was a trifle erratic, word comes
from the east suggesting that the
government will soon enter the
market for rather liberal supplies
to go Into relief channels.
Lamb market situation was re
ported firm in the country killed
meat market although there has
been no advance in the general
price. Veal and hogs ' were con
sidered steady for the week-
opening trade.
Trade in onions appeared to be
gaining strength from speculative
activities. Offers were reported as
high as 31.10 and sacks but gen
eral bids were not suggested
above the dollar m-rk. Carload
shippers were "payiLg the price
while the lpcal trade was slow.
Entire live chicken market was
holding .firm with light arrivals
recently. Prices bid were not
changed because of the lowness
of other fowls.
General slu&gishness was con
tinued in the market for potatoes
here and at various Pacific
northwest sources.
