The organization which is to
present the ".Messiah" will re
hearse regularly each Monday
night at 7:45, beginning October
23, at the Court Street Christian

next Monday night, as that will be
the last time new voices will be
accepted, without individual try
outs. Singers from approximately 15
different churches are taking part

Martin Luther's
Birth Celebrated

DALLAS, OcL.20 The serv
ices of the Dallas Christian church
Sunday will give special recogni
tion to the 450th anniversary of
the birth, of Martin Luther. This
date has been set rather than the
real November date because the
church will be in an evangelistic
meeting daring November.
The morning sermon topic will
be "Justification by Faith." The
evening service will feature the
song, "A Mighty Fortress is Our
God," written by Martin Luther.

Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh, jammer,
Arder Hammer and H. B. Condit
have returned from a week's
hunting trip la eastern Oregon.
They were successful in killing
three deer. The largest one
weighed 257 pounds dressed.. -
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tripp have
moved to Van Nuys, California,
where they will make their home.
Mrs. Ella Honser of Portland
has been' the guest this week of
her sister, Mrs. Mary E. Reece.
